NERC Offering over 300 NERC approved course hours
NERC's mission is to improve the reliability and security of the bulk power system in North America. To achieve that, NERC develops and enforces reliability standards; monitors the bulk power system; assesses future adequacy; audits owners, operators, and users for preparedness; and educates and trains industry personnel. NERC is a self-regulatory organization that relies on the diverse and collective expertise of industry participants. As the Electric Reliability Organization, NERC is subject to audit by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and governmental authorities in Canada.
360training, L&K International Division, and LK-Intl_001 is recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation as a continuing education provider who adheres to NERC Continuing Education Program Criteria.
As of June 18th, 2007, utilities that violate NERC Reliability Standards are now likely to face penalties. There are more than 120 NERC BOT approved Reliability Standards with more pending per NERC. Enforcement of the NERC Reliability Standards is intended to make certain that the nation's grid is operated by knowledgeable personnel who are prepared to correctly respond to both normal and emergency events. This preparedness is the key to grid reliability. More than 1,400 entities that carry out functions necessary to ensure a reliable bulk power system (power plants, transmission lines and substation) must now comply.
L&K provides over 300 NERC approved continuing education hours (CEH) that will assist your organization and personnel with the necessary knowledge to ensure emergency preparedness levels remain high. Included in the 300 CEH hours, we offer over 34 hours in NERC Standards training.
